Maryweather Hamlet’s life is spiraling out of control: her father, Head Coach Hamlet of the Copenhagen HS Fencing Team, has disappeared; a new coach, Claudius, is taking over her team and spending way too much time with her mother; her boyfriend Ophelio has a dangerous secret; and her recreational drug habit is impacting her schoolwork and probably her sanity as her father keeps appearing to her with a classic rock soundtrack. Written primarily by students from Bronx Lab and the Bronx HS for Writing, these 6 short episodes offer a hallucinatory HAMLET, seen through the lens of growing madness and self-destruction.
