Remix is an after-school youth development program, that culminates in students performing alongside professional theatre artists in fully produced theatre and film productions. 20 to 60 young people debate the social and political questions of a classic play, decode the text, and weave their own writing into the script. Students then work with Epic artists as mentors and cast mates, speaking classic language with truth and courage while creating a bridge to their time through their own words and actions.
RESILIENCE: Students gain a sense of accomplishment. They get to say “We did that, and it cannot be taken away.”
COLLABORATION: Students work in a rigorous environment that invites them to grow and live up to professional standards.
SELF-ADVOCACY: Students work with a professional Epic mentor and learn how to advocate for themselves with adults.
REMIX films:
Enigma (2021)
Remember Me (2020)
Addicted (2020)
At The Rialto (2020)
Social Nomad (2020)

I think this is an incredible program, and would love to see some of the students’ works. Is it available online anywhere? Keep up the excellent work with kids!
